David Reutimann Tunes His Road Racing Skills at VIR
Looking to hone his road racing skills, David Reutimann turned to VIR and 4 time Australian Road Racing Champion Marcos Ambrose. Thirteenth in points in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, just 3 positions out of the chase, Reutimann convinced Ambrose to spend a day schooling him on the fine art or road racing in a 2-seat Richard Petty Experience car.

The choice to use VIR for our Lightning Laps program was pretty simple. It is one of the most challenging road racing circuits in America... today's new, computer-designed road courses just don't measure up to what a guy walking through a field could envision back in the day.
