Danville, VA (February 19, 2009) - Virginia International Raceway is pleased to announce that industry-leading driver training and club race coaching firm Krause & Associates will establish an on-site training facility in VIR's Virginia Motorsport Technology Park. Krause & Associates LLC will purchase commercial space on Ace Drive to conduct individual high performance and Club-level racing driver training as well as hosting small group seminars on data acquisition use and interpretation. A state of the art full motion simulator will be used to train clients by the summer.

Long associated with VIR as a consultant, as a noted driving instructor with intimate "local knowledge" of the track and as a founding member of the VIR Motorsports Country Club, Peter Krause bubbles when describing this latest synergy between his business and the events at VIR. "The strong growth of my business and the continued strength of amateur participation in track events here makes this the logical progression for our company. This will allow us to offer the best possible service to our clients," said Krause. "We're excited to be even more involved with our ‘home' track and equally excited to contribute to the continued growth of VIR. Having our Driver Development Studio on-site and in the Virginia Motorsports Technology Park makes perfect sense."

Krause & Associates LLC has offered on-line and on-site driver training, instruction and coaching for amateur sports car drivers throughout the Eastern US since 2007. For over twenty-five years , Krause operated an award winning vintage and historic racing preparation shop.
