Danville, VA (July 7, 2010) - Motorsports fans will see history unfold at VIR this weekend July 10-11 as the new Dodge Viper ACR-X will make its competition debut. This non-street legal spec racer is one of a handful of very special limited edition cars meant to commemorate the production end of one of America's most iconic supercars.

With its 520 cubic inch (8.4 litre) variable valve timing V-10 engine pumping out 640 bhp with 585 ft/lbs of torque, this will be the meanest car of the lot. Additional factory installed goodies such as an 8-point roll cage, a 6-speed transmission, on board fire extinguisher, 220 mph speedometer and 14.0-inch diameter Brembo disc brakes serves as a hint as to what the potential of this car will be.
