NASCAR Stars Edwards, Ambrose To Test Doran Racing Daytona Prototype Tuesday at VIR
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 17, 2009) - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regulars Carl Edwards and Marcos Ambrose will make their Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Daytona Prototype testing debut Tuesday, driving the Doran Racing No. 77 McDonald's Ford Dallara on the North Course at Virginia International Raceway.

Edwards is fourth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings, in solid contention to make the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. He is also running second in the Nationwide Series with two victories. The 2007 Nationwide Series champion, Edwards finished second in the standings of both of NASCAR's top two divisions last year.

The 10th Anniversary Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals will feature all four of AMA Pro Road Racing's divisions in a jam-packed schedule highlighted by six different races this weekend, August 14 - 16, at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).

Big Kahuna Nationals Hosts Drive for Local Food Bank
Danville, VA (August 6, 2009) - VIR and the AMA give fans a chance to give back to the community by donating canned goods to the local food bank.

"VIR is always trying to give back to the community that supports us," said track general manager Josh Lief. "Motor Racing Outreach and God's Storehouse are both great activities and we invite all our guests to support them in this food drive."

Last Chance to See Mat Mladin in Action at VIR
Danville, VA (August 6, 2009) - Mat Mladin, the six-time American Superbike champion and winner of 82 Superbike races, including ten so far in 2009, has announced that he plans to retire following the end of the 2009 season.

In an open letter and press release, Mladin stated: "After so many great years of racing in the USA, I will retire from AMA racing at the end of the 2009 racing season in New Jersey.

Motorcycle Week at VIR Includes Boston Moto School on Three Courses
Danville, VA (July 30, 2009) - Boston Moto (www.bostonmoto.com) welcomes riders to their 3-day trackday event from August 3rd thru 5th at Virginia International Raceway as part of a full week of on-track motorcycle riding action.

Immediately before the August 8-9 WERA Cycle Jam races, Boston Moto puts their motto of "track time, period" to the test.
