Countdown to Bosch Engineering 250 at VIR |

Danville, VA (April 8, 2009) - The exotic prototypes and thundering GT cars from the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series are heading to VIRginia International Raceway, Saturday, April 25, for the Bosch Engineering 250.
Coming to VIR after the closest finish in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, entries are headed by the winning team in that race, with second-generation star David Donohue teamed with Darren Law in their Brumos Porsche Riley prototype racer.
Actor Patrick Dempsey has filed an entry in the GT category for Saturday's race, combining the Prototypes and GT cars for the 2:30 green flag over VIR's historic 3.27-mile road course. A complete schedule of support races fills both Saturday and Sunday, plus the Grand-Am Fan Experience, track and paddock tours and more.
Event Details"We expect that this will be the best Bosch 250 yet," said track General Manager Josh Lief. "With all the activities added to the on-track action, fans will find something for everyone to enjoy."

VW Jetta TDI Cup Announces Partnership with iRacing.com |

ALTON, Va. (April 25, 2009) - Volkswagen of America, Inc. and its SCCA Pro Racing Jetta TDI Cup series have announced a partnership with iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC, that will allow the racing series to utilize iRacing's online racing simulations to further enhance training and recruiting capabilities. The partnership will aid in current Jetta TDI Cup driver training and identify driver candidates for future seasons.

Atterbury wins first Volkswagen TDI Cup Race of Season |
Alton, VA(April 25, 2009) - Another picture-perfect day greeted the SCCA Pro Racing Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup at VIRginia International Raceway today for Round 1 of the 2009 season. While series veterans put on a strong showing, it was rookie Joey Atterbury who took the checkered flag in the #14 Red Bull car.
The Renton, Wash. native battled another rookie driver, AJ Nealey, for much of the race with the pair swapping the lead four times during the race. Series veteran Timmy Megenbier rounded out the podium with his third-place finish.

AIM Autosport anxious to get back on track at VIR |

Woodbridge, Ontario (2009.04.22) AIM Autosport is looking forward to racing in the Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway this weekend for a couple of reasons. Mostly, because the Rolex Daytona Prototype team has had three months to ponder the results of the Rolex 24 at Daytona and is looking for some redemption but in truth, everyone is remembering last year's run at VIR and are really looking to get the podium that slipped away.

Atterbury and Megenbier to sit on the poles for Rounds 1 & 2 at VIR Alton, VA (April 24, 2009) - Picture-perfect conditions at VIRginia International Raceway provided an ideal setting for the SCCA Pro Racing Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup series to hit the track today for the first action of the 2009 season. Today's schedule included an open practice and a qualifying session for each of the two races that will take place at the track this weekend on the 3.27-mile road course.
